JUST A NOTE TO SAY THAT THE TRIP WAS ENJOYED BY ALL. ONE OF THE GENTS IS MOST CERTAINLY A RE-DO AND I WILL JOIN HIM..............THE GOOD LORD WILLIN' THE DECISION TO VISIT SAPELO TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD ONE. BOTH GUYS STATED THAT THEY HAD NEVER QUITE SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND SAID IT WAS WELL WORTH THE TIME, EVEN THO IT OCCASIONED A SHORT PADDLE THAT DAY. THE OTHER TWO PADDLES WERE GREAT, WITH CHARLIE AND PAT FIGURING THE TIDE JUST RIGHT. SAW THE PICTURE OF CAPT GABBY IN MY MOST RECENT ISSUE OF SEA KAYAKER.......LOOKIN' GOOD. HOPE THAT PAYS OFF FOR YOU...................AND FOR THE PADDLIN' PUBLIC IN GENERAL. YOU GUYS ARE A REAL RESOURCE. THANKS AGAIN BILL
"The pleasure was all ours. We spent the morning and early afternoon on St Simons chasing down friends and family to get a chance to see them on Easter weekend. As soon as we boarded the Capt. Gabby, all the stress went away. Everyone in our group was looking forward to our time on the boat, but my grandaughter Bella was so excited that she bubbling with joy. When Patrick let her steer the boat, she was grinning ear to ear. We got some great pictures of her in a Capt. Gabby hat that I will treasure for years to come. I think she covered every square inch of the boat several, times! Thanks for a great time on the Capt Gabby and we all look forward to our next adventure with you whatever it may be. "
Dale brought a group of 6 for a 4 day trip with us April 6-9, 2011. They started kayak / camping on the Altamaha River and then paddled to the Captain Gabby for another couple of days. Follow the link below to his blog, read the fun - and plan a trip of your own with us!
http://pathcrossingsandmore.blogspot.com/2011/04/captain-gabby-we-miss-you.html For the 2nd year we have been blessed to get BLESSED in the Annual Blessing of the Fleet in Darien, Ga. This has been a tradition for shrimpboats for over 40 years here in this historic waterfront community. We are honored to be a part of this. |
